It seems some nickname palettes are exclusive to NPCs and can't be obtained by the player. (I was taking out all the legendaries in this run I should have picked up a MOLTDOS EGG instead of a ZAPUNO EGG, but that'll have to wait until next run.) Now I can catch it to get it to cough up the MIRROR BALL.ĮDIT: I tried catching PANDORA (DJ FEF's blue ESPEON) with it, but it came out as a normal purple one, albeit one with max DVs. It's a good thing I haven't made it to MOUNT SILVER yet to faint MOLTRES. I wasn't sure how I was going to figure out the DVs on those for my guide, but this mirror ball should solve that issue. I've set up a table of all the nickname palettes DJ FEF will tell you about, and reset the game for about two days straight to get screenshots of them all, but I've noticed that several trainers have nickname palette pokémon that even DJ FEF doesn't seem to know about.
This'll be pretty helpful for the guide I'm working on, though. There's a MIRROR BALL, now? There's already too many ball types to carry in the bag due to the LUSTER and BOOSTER BALLs.
