Its the last non-subscription version and will read your 2016 Quicken data file perfectly. I have done all of the uninstall/reinstall, safe mode install, mondo patch, qcleanui.exe, password reset, R 9 install, R 8 install, and several other attempts to get Quicken working in Windows 10 with no success. If you cant find a copy of 2016, you might also look for Quicken 2017.
I do not want to deactivate the online accounts, just control when Quicken updates the investments. I DO NOT want the quotes updated until I'm ready for that - I want to keep month end prices in Quicken until after I've reconciled my investment accounts. I just spent over 6 hours on the phone with Quicken tech support and they say it is an issue with Windows. They don't download any transactions but they do update the quotes. Since then, Quicken will start to open and then immediately close with no error messages.
I have been using Quicken 2016 Deluxe for several months now and had no issues even when I upgraded to Windows 10.until the anniversary update that was forced on me.
